Buy Nothing Groups!

Join the Buy Nothing Movement and Share the Love

Ever heard of the Buy Nothing Project? It’s all about giving, sharing, and borrowing—without spending a cent. Instead of buying new stuff, people in these groups give away things they don’t need or lend what they’ve got to someone who could use it. It’s about helping each other out, building connections, and feeling good about sharing what we’ve got.

In Buy Nothing groups, you can find everything from clothes and furniture to advice and a hand with something around the house—no money involved. What really makes this work is the relationships we build and the gratitude that comes with it. It’s less about the things and more about the people.

The coolest part? It makes communities stronger, more sustainable, and way more fun to be a part of. So if you’re down for living with less stuff but more connection and joy, the Buy Nothing Project might just be your vibe.

I love my local Buy Nothing Group, it is so active and personal. This morning there were over 30 people offering different things to their neighbors. Want to do some decluttering? Your discard could be the blessing to a neighbor! What a great way to deal with clutter and help someone else out. What is your experience like with your local Buy Nothing Group? The best thing you ever got? I got some amazing asian pears last fall from a neighbor with an overflowing tree!
